At Hammerlands Moffat, less than five minutes off the M74, Junction 15 in Dumfries & Galloway, south west Scotland the whole family can enjoy a great day out.

At Hammerlands, you set your own pace - whether you want to take part in the various activities or leisurely shop and browse. When you need a break, unwind in our indoor restaurant or outdoor patio area. We have a variety of locally sourced homemade cuisine freshly prepared to suit your needs.

  • What’s on - loads of great events Sheepdog auctions, car boot sales, fishing competitions and caravan rallies. We host a range of events, see what’s on or book your own event.
  • For Kids - enjoy lots of things to do. Feed the animals in our Small Animal Farm & explore the new, improved Activity Playground. Try a round of Crazy Golf.
  • Fishing at the Moffat Fishery - trout, bait, coarse and fly fishing for all the family. For experienced and novice fishermen.
  • Shop in our Garden Centre taking in our range of clothes and gifts for all the family.
  • Eat & relax in our Café Restaurant. Delicious home made food served all day

Moffat is considered a hidden gem nestling in the glorious scenery of the Southern Uplands. Just off the M74, Moffat, the outstanding conservation and former spa town where you will find lots to see and do. The world famous, ‘ear less’ Moffat Ram statue stands in the High Street, just down from it is the Moffat Toffee Shop. A treasure trove of sweets, well worth a visit. Take a walk around Station Park and visit the spa photos in the Moffat Museum.

 

Slightly further afield is Scotland’s 2nd highest waterfall, The Grey Mare’s Tail. Climb to the top (not for the faint hearted) and enjoy vistas across the countryside of the beautiful Southern Uplands. Travelling east for an hour takes you to the beautiful Solway Coast, with its wondrous sandy beaches. Moffat is a great place to spend a few days.

 

Moffat is minutes from Junction 15 of the M74 in the east of Dumfries & Galloway in south west Scotland. Hammerlands is less than an hour’s drive from Carlisle in England and Selkirk in the Borders. Around an hour's drive from Castle Douglas and Kirkcudbright in the west of Dumfries & Galloway also from Glasgow or Edinburgh in the central belt of Scotland.
